There are so many reality shows on TV already, but not many of them are actually watchable. At the same time, I could suggest a few new reality show concepts that could be just as entertaining as anything on TV, but most likely will never be developed, because these ideas are just too good for TV.
Watching The Paint Dry: People used to compare watching the paint dry with the most boring activities. Not anymore! This show is about a group of misfits that paint houses. Episode 1: Hilarity ensues when the painters breathe in too much paint fumes.
Parking Spot Wars: Finding the right parking spot can be challenging. It’s also thrilling and dangerous. This show has everything: violent fights for the spots, mad races across the parking lots to that coveted spots, and feats of acrobatic skill, often required to climb out of your car when some jerk parked too close to your car.
SRVVR, WTF LOL!: 10 obsessive-compulsive texters gathered on a remote uninhabited island. One smart phone. Spotty phone reception across the island. BRB after the commercial break, SRSLY!.
Secret Life of Snails: Uncensored footage from the hidden cameras that follow some of the sleaziest creatures on the planet.
The Library: Stories of steamy affairs, fall and rise of careers, and fantastic adventures: look in Romance, Biography, and Fantasy/Sci-Fi sections, respectively.
Digital Warriors: These brave men and women tackle what scares many of us more than anything else: math. Watch these courageous accountants battle the numbers day in and day out.
Extreme Queuing: You thought the show about people standing in lines is not entertaining? You’re right; it’s not, but at least as entertaining as half of the other reality shows on TV. Drama, graphic violence, mature language and possible nudity – see it all in the upcoming Black Friday special.
The Ultimate Bachelor: Meet Steve, the ultimate bachelor: he’s poor, skinny, nerdy, lazy, not big on personal hygiene, and still lives with his mother.
Let me know if/when the producers start casting for Digital Warriors…I think I’m a good fit!
I think I’d be a good fit, too. At least I can count to 8.
I HATE reality tv. Thanks for this morning laugh.
Me too. I try to avoid it as much as I can, yet it still somehow finds me.
