Sinking Like A Bronze Balloon

He couldn’t believe that he was at the Olympics.  And what’s more is that this dive could win him the gold medal.  He only had to concentrate.  If he executed this dive correctly, his name would go down in history.

“CANNONBALL!!!!” the diver screamed at the top of his lungs.  He then plummeted through the air much like a cannonball.

The diver stayed in the cannonball position underwater for a few seconds.  He was thinking that maybe some unforeseen incident had ruined his chances for greatness.

As he breeched the surface of the water, he was greeted by boos and hisses.  After the ghosts and snakes finished making their respective sounds, the diver said “Hey, nobody’s perfect.”

It was true.  Nobody was perfect.  Unless, of course, you were the next diver up, Mr. Splash Diverson.
