If you’re running for president and have to deliver a speech at a convention, there are many messages you need to get across, but it’s crucial to make sure your speech isn’t boring. There are several things that you can do to keep the interest of your audience. First of all, begin your speech with the phrase, “my vice presidential candidate just told me something that would shock the hell out of you” and immediately change the subject. Then, several times during your speech, stop midsentence, turn sharply towards the guy doing the sign language interpretation and yell “will you knock it off?!” And finally, just as your speech is wrapping up, say “oh hey, there’s something I wanted to show you guys…” Then leave the room and don’t come back. Indeed, when delivering any sort of speech it is crucial to keep the audience interested.
I would love to see a post about that time when Brad Pitt gave a convention speech…
Hmmm I have a feeling that could happen this week
