The other day, a coworker told me that he was about to “drop some knowledge” on me. Never being a fan of having things dropped on me, I got the Hell out of there and fast. The next time I saw my “knowledge dropping” co-worker, he asked why I had run away from him, so I started telling him about how I hate having things dropped on me. Just before I finished the story of the last time I had something dropped on me, I let go of the rope I was holding and dropped an anvil on him.
I still don’t know why everybody got so angry with me. I’m the one that should be angry, I mean I didn’t even get my anvil back and I don’t know if you have shopped for anvils lately but the dropping kind are very expensive and hard to find. I also made sure to point out to everybody that he had started it.
So, here are a couple of rules to follow if you work in an office. First, don’t tell someone you are going to drop something on them and get mad if they escape and drop something on you first. Second, if you do get something dropped on you, you should be a good loser and give whatever was dropped on you back to the dropper instead of “giving it to the police as evidence” or threatening to “shove it where the sun don’t shine”.
